Bowden Tube Replaced

One of the main reason that extruder feeder mechanism stalls while printing is due to increased friction inside the bowden tube. The more I apply grip on the hobbed bolt with the thumbscrew, the worse the filament is deformed which eventually generates tremendous friction and makes the extruder to quit feeding and grinding the filament.

I read an article on the UM forum, that someone has a success replacing the bowden with 4mm ID and 6mm OD. So I did the same, in this case with water purifier tube - seller told me it is TEFLON(PTFE). In order to use this tube(smaller OD) I needed to print 2 of this. I'm printing one of the most successful iOS/Android game character (PALADOG) proudly developed by my college friend.

 

항상 문제가 되던 튜브와 필라멘트 사이의 마찰로 인한 프린트 도중 extruder의 멈춤 현상을 해결하기 위해 내경 4mm, 외경 6mm짜리 테프론 튜브를 구입하였다. Ultimaker forum에 누가 올려놓은 글을 보니 이미 성공적으로 사용하고 있는 것 같아서.. 어쨌거나 우리나라에서 구할 수 있을까 싶었는데 알고보니 정수기와 상수도를 연결하는 공급관으로 쓰인다네.. 좀 부드러워서 불안하긴 하지만 일단 필요한 부품을 프린트 하고 처음으로 프린트를 해본다. 한국서 다녔던 다니다 말았던 대학 친구가 만든 스마트폰 대박 게임의 메인 캐릭터를 프린트 중인데, 잘 나올지 기대중.
